RJ gets puddinged
After a week of Vacation Bible School, the kids raised just short of $700 for missions in Africa! The only problem? There was a race to see who would raise more money. If the boys raised more, Jennifer would get pudding poured on her.If the girls raised more, RJ gets the pudding shampoo.Turns out, for a second year in a row, the girls beat the boys.
Celebrate Recovery
Starting August 11th, then each Thursday night afterwards, from 6:30 to 8:30pm!
Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory. 25 years ago, Saddleback Church launched Celebrate Recovery with 43 people. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. Celebrate Recovery has helped more than 17000 people at Saddleback, attracting over 70% of its members from outside the church. Eighty-five percent of the people who go through the program stay with the church and nearly half serve as church volunteers.
Celebrate Recovery is now in over 29,000 churches worldwide, including Grace Pointe Church of the Nazarene!
Vacation Bible School starts Monday
VBS is for kids who are in preschool all the way through the 6th grade! Each evening of this upcoming week, from 6:30 to 8:00pm, we will have snacks, games, and fun Bible Stories! Ur theme this year is Custom Garage and the kids will have plenty of awesome cars and tools to have fun with!
I Love My Church
Our next sermon series is called, "I Love My Church." We are going to look at some of the things we do well at Grace Pointe Church of the Nazarene, as well as look at some of the things we need to improve on. From how we take care of and love each other to how we focus on the community God has placed us in, we are doing whatever we can to share God's love with the world. If you already worship God with us at Grace Pointe, come and celebrate these awesome testimonies and stories. If you do not have a church home, you are invited to join us and find out why we love our church and how you can become a part of this awesome family!"

What's the Point?
Have you ever asked yourself that question? You are not alone and, in fact, one of the biggest names in the Bible asked that question as well. Solomon, who was a king over Jerusalem, was given wisdon from God beyond every person before or after him. Yet he struggled with finding meaning in the ways of the world. Is God truly God? Does it matter what I do in each and every moment?
Come and join us for a 6 week series on the Wisdom Literature found in the book of Eccesiastes and you can find out, "What's the Point?"
