Dying to our own desires and wants us not easy. However, Jesus' own words tell us that we must lose our lives for His sake in order to find eternal life. This life is not merely about this life. We join with Christ in His suffering so that we can experience a resurrection like His. In the meantime, maybe we can and should actually think of others higher than ourselves. Even the ones that have hurt us. Don't miss out on a chance to bring Jesus into the world! Into the dark places of even our own lives!
